EUR/USD, EUR/CHF — February 15th 2012

EUR/USD — fell initially during the Tuesday session as the EU Finance Ministers cancelled their meeting on whether or not to deliver the next bailout for the Greeks. However, later in the session there was an announcement that the presumed incoming Prime Minister of Greece is willing to promise a continuation of austerity if elected. Currently we are in a little bit of a consolidation between 1.30 and 1.3250 levels and it looks like this is a scalping pair. We prefer the downside in this pair and we need to see a daily close below 1.30 level to sell this pair. EUR/CHF — pair continues to grind lower, testing the Swiss National Bank. This pair has a floor at 1.20 level. The SNB will intervene if we get much lower. If the SNB fails to intervene, then the markets will punish and send this pair to 1.10 level. Because of this — we are willing to buy at lower levels with a supportive candle.
